Alkira Marine Services installed a new mooring at Lake Burrendong for Burrendong Houseboats. The lake is huge and said to be ten times larger than Sydney Harbour. This was a challenge as the lake is situated between Mudgee and Wellington NSW and about five hours from home base Lake Macquarie. The lake can rise up to 10 metres in a short period of time so this had to be taken into consideration when installing the new mooring block. Alkira Marine Services provided various Mooring Services and Maintenance for the Botany Bay Airport Authority. This work was carried out in the Airport Exclusion Zone at the end of the runway.
