Mooring Services

An experienced and fully insured Mooring company like Alkira Marine Services is recommended by Maritime to service your Mooring to ensure the safety of your vessel and other property on the water. We use new quality fittings only and ensure your Mooring Apparatus is capable of securely holding your vessel in the worst conditions. Alkira is fully insured and we only use qualified personnel.

Single Block Servicing $150 + gst plus parts

Double Block Service $200 + gst plus parts

Depending on where your Mooring is located and the underwater conditions, different parts deteriorate at different rates and may need to be replaced.

NSW Maritime Recommendations

NSW Maritime recommend the service of all Moorings at least once annually. Cost for the purchase, installation and servicing of the Mooring Apparatus is the responsibility of the Mooring licensee. Failure to maintain your Mooring Apparatus in good condition may result in Mooring failure and set the vessel adrift with expensive consequences. Penalties may apply by NSW Maritime.

Proof of Mooring Service must be produced to NSW Maritime on request. Failure to service your Mooring may result in cancellation of the Mooring Licence and the liability insurance being null and void.

Annual servicing is also an insurance requirement to cover your boat. If not regularly serviced, and your Mooring Apparatus malfunctions, your Insurance Company may not cover any damage to your vessel or collision with another boat or property.
